The United States military uses the M17 series gas masks to protect their troops from chemical and biological war. These masks are used the most recent of a series of gas masks by the U.S. military.
The M17 gas masks to provide protection against all known types of chemicals and biological substances in the air. The mask has several components such as a filter t, long face and outserts. T in the face piece filter elements removes pathogens harmful to the mask. M17Series includes two types of masks M17A1 and M17A2.
These masks are integrated systems that facilitate communication - a tube for drinking water and a pair of outserts lens of the eye to protect and prevent fogging. The mask contains a vector that other elements such as a nerve poison antidote kit packed (Naak) and convulsant antidote for nerve agent (CANA). It also contains a waterproof bag filter elements from damage of water for protection. The mask offers protection from harmful influences, but are not working properly in places where oxygen is low. The mask is not intended to be used for firefighting and offers no protection against radiation. It is recommended that users pay, until the biological or furtherchemicals identified.
